The Client:

The Southern African AIDS Trust is a regional NGO with 23 years of programming experience and hundreds of successful, sustainable NGO partners behind it. Formed in 1990, SAT is registered as a non-profit organisation in six southern African countries which includes a regional coordinating office in South Africa.

The Need:

For SAT, communities are best placed to define their own needs and to develop innovative responses to their needs and challenges. Believing that this principle was being sidelined in the operations of international organizations and NGOs, SAT commissioned Moonshine Media to produce a publication that would highlight the attitudes and beliefs of more than 50 high-profile personalities on the international stage. Interviews and correspondence with these public figures, together with extensive research, resulted in a a powerful argument, in the voice of the first person, for the role of community.
